Expands Application Service Provider Coverage Into Asia
Leading Application Service Provider Teams Up with ASCII
Network Technology to Provide Managed Application Hosting
Services in Japan
Reston, VA - December 8, 1999
Emergent OnLine, the world's only pure dedicated server ASP
and Platinum Citrix (Nasdaq: CTXS) consulting integrator
announced today that it has reached an agreement with Japan's
ASCII Network Technology to market EOL's iPAD™ services to
corporate and government clients in Japan.
"We are happy to be working with such an innovative group as
ASCII NT," said Paul Ghostine, co-founder and CEO of Emergent.
"ASCII is a pioneer in providing Japanese customers with
leading edge solutions and consultative services. Our teaming
arrangement enables us to meet the Japanese market demands
with EOL’s unique Internet Packaged Application Deployment (iPAD™)
services. This will constitute our beachhead in the Asian
marketplace with several other partnerships to follow.
"Emergent OnLine offers the most comprehensive yet flexible
ASP services," said Ryouichi Kobayashi, vice president and
general manager of ASCII Network Technology. "Our customers
have responded very positively to our introduction of EOL’s
iPAD™ services in Japan. During the last few years, we
educated the Japanese marketplace about the benefits of VPNs -
now we can help them apply the technology for mission critical
application access while benefiting from reduced Total Cost of
Ownership (TCO)."
ASCII Network Technology Inc. was founded in 1994 with a
focused mission of bringing Microsoft NT solutions to the
